Castle Trio-Sunday 1 September 2013
We have arranged for a Castle Day for your enjoyment , our trip will visit a trio of castles. Initially we leave the Museum steps at 8:30am and head for Raglan Castle, a 15the Century castle which wows the visitor just as the owner intended. From Raglan we continue to our second castle, Hampton Court Castle and Gardens, in Herefordshire, not to be confused with the London palace. The Castle has a rich and fascinating history dating back prior to the 15th Century and is surrounded by 1000 acres of stunning parkland with the river Lugg running alongside. The Orangery Restaurant serves snacks and is available at a discounted price for those who pre-order, details will be sent to you for pre-ordering with you acknowledgement. The Garden was voted in the top 50 gardens by The Independent. Our third and final castle is Eastnor Castle, the family home of the Hervey-Bathhurst family, set in the dramatic setting of the Malvern Hills and surrounded by a beautiful deer park, arboretum and lake. Having completed our trio of castles we then make our way back home.
Both events are being organised by Tony Ringer who is finalising prices, but we would appreciate hearing from you if you interested in these trips and when he can give you more details.
