Discounts
Some or all of these discounts may apply to certain events: Children, Over 60s, Students, Friends, Claimants, Disabled people plus one companion, Unemployed, MAX cardholders and Groups. Please see individual show details for the specific discounts available. Only one discount may apply to each ticket and proof of status is required - please state that you are applying for a discount when you make your booking.

Student tickets

Student tickets are available at half price for orchestral concerts within the St David’s Hall Orchestral Concert Series. Discounts are also available on other selected events - see individual What's On pages for details.

MAX CARD
St David's Hall offers the published reductions to all benefit claimants, including unemployed people. A convenient means of identification for Cardiff residents is the MAX card (formerly known as the Cardiff Passport to Leisure card) which also opens up reductions at Cardiff leisure and sports centres. You can obtain one from a Cardiff Post Office.

Bring a party

Bring a party and enjoy worthwhile savings! St David’s Hall welcomes groups of all sizes; discounts are given on selected events to groups of 10 or more. Our Group Sales Organiser, Chris Blackler will be happy to assist you with your booking as well as other aspects of your visit and can be contacted on 029 2087 8878.

Children
There are reductions and special prices for many events. See the price panels for individual events. For your own comfort and safety, all children of walking age will require a ticket.

Refunds and exchanges
If you are unable to attend an event, your tickets can be exchanged for another event up to 48 hours prior to a performance. Exchanges must be made in person at the Box Office and a £1 administration fee is made for this service. Unfortunately we are unable to give refunds. Alternatively tickets will be accepted for re-sale on the strict understanding that all St David’s Hall’s own tickets will be sold first and that re-sale can never be guaranteed. We cannot re-sell tickets unless the originals are first returned to the Box Office. 10% of the value of any re-sale will be retained for this service.

Latecomers
In order to avoid disturbing other customers, we regret that for certain concerts, particularly recitals, latecomers may not be admitted into the auditorium until a suitable break. The concert may, however, be viewed on the closed circuit TV on Level 3.

Conditions of sale for St David's Hall
1. It may be neccesary, due to unforseen circumstances, to make cast or programme changes, and we therefore reserve the right to do this
2. In certain circumstances, we may be required to refuse admission, and in such an event, may not refund admission fees paid.
3. Please check your tickets carefully to ensure all details are correct. Refunds are solely at the discretion of the Box Office Manager.

Open all day

Even if you’re not coming to a concert, you’re welcome to come and look around the foyers during the day. The foyers are usually open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4.00pm (except Bank Holidays and Sundays) so pop in to have a look, take in an exhibition, or stop for a drink or snack.

To book by post
When booking tickets by post, please write to the Box Office with full details of the tickets you wish to book, including date and name of the concert(s), number and price of tickets required (including any discounts you are claiming), and your preferred seating area (please specify area rather than specific seats, which we unable to guarantee).
Please supply us with your name, address, postcode and daytime telephone number, and enclose either your cheque payable to City and County of Cardiff or your credit card/switch details (including expiry date and switch issue number), plus a stamped, addressed envelope for the return of your tickets.
