After the acclaimed success of Martin Harley's recent album and tour with Daniel Kimbro on double bass, we are pleased to announce that the duo will be touring again in 2017 in support of a new album of new material.
The last album "LIVE AT SOUTHERN GROUND" received many accolades ~ it was recorded at the famous Southern Ground Studios in Nashville Tennessee and was described by The Observer as "A spellbinding 50 minutes".
Martin Harley’s ‘British Americana’ sound is influenced by Delta Blues and Gyspy Swing. Renowned for his prowess as a slide guitarist, Martin is almost unique in the UK in his playing lap slide. During constant worldwide touring he’s honed his craft into the classic songwriting style he possesses today, the result is a road worn style of song writing that Guitarist Magazine describes as “staggeringly good, no one is making music like it”.
“Incredible slide guitar chops, Cementing his reputation as one of it’s finest exponents” The Blues Magazine 8/10
“Martin is arguably the best Weissenborn player in the UK and has been for many years. This release only underlines his stature even further as Britons best steel on steel blues ambassador.” Weissenborn Exchange
“A spellbinding 50 minutes” – The Observer
“Handsome showcase for Harley’s talents as an acoustic guitarist, writer and performer” The Guardian
